Roll 1

My first 8 or so rolls were generously donated to me by my lovely girlfriend Claire's sister Emma. Emma is a hairdresser, and a retiring photographer client of hers was giving out rolls of film they no longer needed. We noticed one of the rolls provided by Emma's client was particularly expired, and was a roll of FujiFilm 400 branded with Brook's Pharmacy logo and name (a chain of New England pharmacies that closed in 2007). It seemed obvious to use that first to see whether or not the camera actually worked. I deeply wish I kept the case of that roll, I never realized how fondly I would think of it. Although this was mostly meant to be a test strip, when I saw the first image of the church tower with the pigeons in flight (the 3rd ribbon'd photo) for the first time, I was absolutely hooked. I did take 24 or so pictures on this roll, however, only 10 actually developed, with the rest of the roll entirely blank.
